Alicia Garcia De Leon
Art is the greatest loves of my life. It gives me peace, provides direction, and helps me make sense of our existence on this planet. Drawing on experiences from my youth on all stages of my life and nature., I create art that serves as both social commentary and spiritual exploration.
While my work encompasses a wide range of themes—including death, politics, environmental awareness, love, and the cosmos—it is unified by a dark, personal aesthetic. This style has evolved since my first painting lessons at the age of five. Since then, I have expanded my practice through crafts, wood carving, architecture, model building, sculpting, and mold-making. I combine these traditional practices with my own innovative techniques, incorporating a diverse array of media such as acrylic, oil, wood, copper, plaster, found objects, and mixed media.
At this point in my life, I feel compelled to share more of myself than ever before, because the more you live, the more you discover. As I make my comeback, I am returning stronger than ever. Life may take away my inspiration and my art for a moment in time, but never forever.rite your text here...
Voices from the collection
The scale of the canvas completely reordered the room. The heavy, layered texture catches the morning light in ways a print never could.
